Campus Researcher
Campus Researcher – Texas Christian University
Location: Texas Christian University
Short-term project: $1,000 fixed fee | Set your own schedule | ~35 hours over 2–3 weeks (~11.5 hrs per week)
Circle 8 is a consumer technology company looking for a current TCU student to help us develop a strong, ground-level understanding of student communities and campus life.
This is a research role – not a sales, marketing, social media, or campus ambassador position.
What you'd do
You’ll independently research different parts of campus and speak with students across a range of communities to understand:
The communities and groups that meaningfully shape student life
How different parts of campus overlap and connect
The people and dynamics that connect different student communities
What you'll deliver
By the end of the project, you will:
Conduct at least 20 substantive conversations with TCU students across different parts of campus life.
Complete a campus workbook covering key student communities, how they connect, student prospects, and major findings.
Identify the strongest communities and student prospects surfaced through the research.
Time & Pay
$1,000 fixed fee for approximately 35 hours of work over 2–3 weeks.
You set your own schedule – there are no shifts or fixed hours, just brief progress check-ins every few days. Some in-person research at TCU is required.
You might be a good fit if you:
Know TCU beyond your immediate friend group
Are curious about people, communities, and how campus actually works
Are comfortable starting a conversation with students you don’t already know
Work independently, stay on top of details, and reliably follow through on deadlines
Sophomores, juniors, and seniors preferred. No experience or campus leadership title required.
